Much listening and looking, and then more listening and looking, then sketches, photographs and drawings, lists of favourite things and ideas for planting, options for materials that might be used, arches, pergolas, garden buildings, places for benches and tables both obvious and secret, greenhouse, any ponds or pools and flowing water, and where are the paths and driveways to go.

Sometimes, working in the garden brings changes to the house, perhaps changing the use of rooms and doors to outside.  Surely, where we spend most of our time should have the most attractive views?

If planning and listed building approvals are needed, I can draw up and make the necessary applications.  I regularly work with architects and building contractors.
