This garden was designed to be at its best in the spring and early summer when the family were all there. It was long abandoned and overgrown, but the soil turned out to be beautiful!
We needed to make it as private as possible, be home to a large dining table, and have a separate and inviting play area for the four children of the house. So the lawn was made large enough for badminton, and some big pieces of box formed an instant hedge to screen a ground level trampoline, surrounded with bark to help with softer landings, so they were happy!
From the photographs you can see the easy but organised style of planters and trellis that was settled on, and the atmosphere that we were able to create. The olive trees thrived in the planters and always set their mood of sunshine, warm days and holidays. The owners loved tulips, so great fun was had in finding some wonderful colours and different varieties.
